Chimney House Changes

The new managers have arrived at the Chimney House and are going to do a bit of redecorating before starting to do food again next weekend. They run the Preston Park Tavern and we gather the approach – emphasis on food, family-friendly – will be similar.

Helen from the Chimney House says:

“We aim to offer the same integrity of food at the Chimney House as we offer at The Preston Park Tavern and will definitely be family friendly. We will offer a children’s menu as well as smaller portions of most of our adult meals being available for children. Our Head Chef started with us early this week and is busy cleaning at the moment!

Once up and running, food will be available at lunch and in the evening from Tuesday through till Saturday with roast lunches being on offer on Sunday. We hope to be able to offer roast meals this coming Sunday (18th Jan).”

“We really hope to be able to provide the local community with a warm welcome, friendly atmosphere, and great food and drink. We have already met a few of the local residents and look forward to meeting lots more over the coming days and weeks.”

Good luck! The Preston Park Tavern looks great so I look forward to a similar pub in our neighbourhood.

So it’s ‘The Chimney House’ not ‘Marquis of Exeter’?

I had lunch at the Chimney House on Saturday. Really enjoyed the food and made to feel very welcome. Good luck – I hope the pub is well supported.
